God is at the center of all we do. We are devoted to God’s project of goodness on earth and willingly carry the cross of ordination justice in service of God's dream of a priesthood where no vocation is denied.

Love of Church & Tradition

We approach this work from deep love and reverence for the Catholic Church and its tradition. We do not seek to stand apart from the Church, but to call it into deeper fidelity with Gospel justice.  ​

Expanding Catholic Imagination 

​The Church cannot become what it cannot first imagine. We expand the collective Catholic imagination around vocation, leadership, and justice in order to create the conditions that make ordination justice possible. 

Men as Critical Allies

Ordination justice is not a woman's issue: it is an issue that wounds the entire Church. Men also support ordination justice and are essential partners in this work. 

The Right to Discernment & Sacred Duty of the Church to Protect This Right

While no one has a right to be a priest, everyone has a right to discernment. The Church has the corresponding sacred duty to protect this fundamental right. Denying the right to discernment is a grievous betrayal of God because it obstructs the action God desires to take in the Church and world. ​

Primacy of Conscience

According to Church teaching, we are obliged to follow our conscience because it is  the place where we stand before God and hear God’s invitation to action that brings about God's vision of salvation on earth. At this historic moment, consciences are being awakened to the call to ordination justice at every level of the Church, yet many remain silent rather than act on what they have come to know is true. Our work is to provide the support that people need to follow their conscience and act with courage.

Intellectual & Spiritual Rigor

Our work is grounded in Jesuit intellectual and spiritual formation and so we are committed to disciplined prayer, serious discernment, and rigorous engagement with Catholic intellectual tradition. Scripture and tradition are living realities that call for continual interpretation and honest engagement in the light of the Holy Spirit and through the lens of God's project of goodness on earth.

Joy Rooted in God's Promise

God's Spirit is faithfully active in the Church in the present moment, continuously laboring to open what has been wrongly closed. We are an Easter people rooted in the reality of the resurrection in Christ and live from this place of living hope and joy.
